No need to fill in forms, I will complete these with you on my first visit to meet you and your pet(s) . These are my Terms and Privacy Statement.
AMBER PET CARE
Terms, Conditions & Privacy Statement
All of your information will be kept private and confidential. A paper form completed at our first consultation will be kept in a locked cabinet. APC will also keep an electronic copy on a secure computer and your email and phone numbers will be added to Lucy’s Mobile.
Your details will not be given to anyone (except in an emergency situation) and APC will not send out any marketing material. An emergency situation may involve showing giving your details to a professional eg. Vet or Police.
APC will delete or change your information on request and will delete any customers information if their pet is no longer cared for by APC.
Terms & Conditions
Acceptance of Amber Pet Care (APC) services is deemed acceptance of our, Privacy Statement, Terms and Conditions and an agreement to pay our fees on time as agreed to Lucy Goodall.
An in-home consultation is required, prior to reservations, FOR ALL NEW CLIENTS.
APC reserves the right to either impose supplementary charges and/or terminate this agreement if the assignment changes from the description given at the consultation. In the event that additional items need to be purchased in the absence of the client – i.e. pet food, litter, cleaning supplies or other necessary items that contribute to the health and wellbeing of your pet, the pet service provider will purchase these, retain a receipt and the pet owner is responsible for reimbursement of these items on their return.
APC will not be liable for any damage or injury caused by your pet, any theft or damage to your property or injury/illness to your pet unless we can be shown to be negligent.
APC is not responsible for carpet/ flooring stains created by your pet(s). We request that you provide towels, cleaning products and bin bags.
APC does not accept liability for other persons who will be in your home prior to, during or immediately after our services have been rendered. Please inform us at the time of consultation of anyone who may have access to your home while you are out or away. This includes cleaning services, maintenance personnel, friends, family and neighbours.
APC reserves the right to deny or terminate service because of safety or financial concerns.
For pop-in visits whilst the owner is on holiday APC will obtain two copies of your house key during the in-home consultation (unless there is another key holder who is easily contactable locally). One key will be held by the pet sitter while the other key will be coded for security and kept separately to be used only in the case of an emergency or lockout.
Please inform us of any changes regarding your contact numbers, your pet’s care needs, your emergency contact details and other pertinent information.
Extreme weather conditions may mean a curtailment or cancellation of our services at short notice (we will keep your pet company if we can get there).
If 24 hrs. cancellation notice is not given by the client APC reserves the right to charge for that walk.
APC will not feed dogs in the hour before or after a walk because of the risk to your dog of gastric torsion (unless the client normally feeds at these times/is willing to accept all responsibility of risks stated above).
APC will walk all dogs on leads (unless an “Off Lead Permission Form is completed).
APC will keep all cats indoors (unless a “Cat(s) Outside Access Disclaimer -cat flaps- form is completed).
APC will follow instructions to administer medications as directed, providing the “Permission to Administer Medicine” form is completed, but cannot be held responsible for complications that arise as a result.
APC cannot walk ill dogs or dogs known to have an infection, even on a one to one basis, because of the risk of cross infection.
Under no circumstances will the APC service any pet that has any form of active contagious illness. If Lucy Goodall is bitten or exposed to any disease or ailment received from the clients pet(s) which has not been properly or currently vaccinated, the client will be responsible for all costs and damages that may be incurred as a result.
Although every care is taken to prevent contact with dogs with Kennel Cough, APC cannot be held liable for your dog contracting Kennel Cough. We strongly advise you discuss a vaccination with your vet.
APC aims to give as much notice as possible of holidays (for dog walks). Should we not be able to fulfil a walk or visit ourselves we will try and recommend an alternative person or refund for that walk or visit.
